Day 34 Recap

Day 34 began with a rally at the Grandview Victory Center in Columbus, Ohio for Republicans Bob Gibbs, candidate for Ohio’s 18th Congressional District; Steve Stivers, candidate for Ohio’s 15th Congressional District; Dave Yost, candidate for Ohio State Auditor; and Julie Hubler, candidate for Franklin County Commissioner. Also joining us was Kevin DeWine, State Party Chairman; Bob Bennett, National Committeeman from Ohio; Doug Preisse, Franklin County Republican Party Executive Committee Chairman; Brad Sinnott, Franklin County Republican Party Central Committee Chairman, and 50 passionate supporters.

Following the morning rally, the Fire Pelosi Bus headed to Vienna, West Virginia for a visit at the Mid Ohio Valley Victory Center. West Virginia is moving closer to becoming a red state and that is largely due to the leadership of Mike Stuart, State Party Chairman; Donna Lou Gosney, National Committeewoman from West Virginia; Congresswoman Shelley Moore Capito (WV-02); and David McKinley, candidate for West Virginia’s 1st Congressional District, who joined us there. The 85 volunteers who joined us understand that the failed liberal policies aren’t helping job creation so it’s time to elect Republicans with common sense solutions into office.

After Vienna, we headed back to Ohio for a visit in Marietta. We met Bill Johnson, candidate for Ohio’s 6th Congressional District, and 40 devoted supporters at the local Dairy Queen. Bill Johnson, retired Lieutenant Colonel in the Air Force and small business owner, continues to run a very successful campaign and we look forward to his election to Congress on November 2nd.

The final stop of the day was in Zanesville, Ohio at the local Victory Center. More than 100 grassroots activists met the Fire Pelosi Bus Tour, as well as State Senator Jimmy Stewart (OH-20); State Representative Troy Balderson (OH-94); and Pat Hennessey, Muskingum County Republican Party Chairman. The support tremendous amount of support we received in Zanesville was the perfect way to end Day 34.
